Why does Kotaku bash Sony all the time?

Everytime I see something Sony related 3/4th of the time it's some sort of "comparison" to the 360 or just flat out bashing. In the last 24 hours this is what they have posted:

"Sony Not Playing "Catch Up" With Xbox LIVE Anymore"

"Sony Boss Getting Fed Up With People Telling Him The PS3 Is Too Expensive"

"Sony Love The XMB Just The Way It Is"

"Sony: We Could've Come Out With PS2.5, But Didn't"

"Don't Expect PS3 Games On Demand Any Time Soon"

All on the front page. Even if the articles are legit, the way they leave personal comments & word their headlines they are just begging for trolling and bashing. They know EXACTLY what they are doing. They don't report nearly half of the stories about Microsoft's problems. Is anyone else getting tired of this? Do you guys still use their site? I am not a fanboy I own both systems but I still think if you're going to report news, report news.

Their site is nothing more than a bash-fest and I am sick of it. Then the reader comments are just as stupid & pointless. All the comments are is nothing more than a contest of who can leave the "wittiest" comment. Is it just me or is anyone else seeing this pattern too?

The sad part is most people view that site as being "highly respected" even though it is crappy journalism at best.

i don't even use Kotaku...only for news and rumors..also, do you really care if they bash the ps3, its their opinions..nothing we can do about it

Most of the quotes are fine

I have no problem with hearing the truth so those quotes doesn't bother me.

I use to like Kotaku and Gizmodo (both are under Gawker media), but now I enjoy Engadget and Joystiq (both under aol) more. While all of the sites interject their opinion on things, Engadget and Joystiq seem to be more professional regarding the news.

That being said, I usually don't mind either sites opinions on games, technology, etc....

Wanna know what I hate even more? "I have both systems. I'm not a fanboy." That's probably the most retarded reasoning ever. If a sexist has a friend which is a girl, are they now NOT sexist? If a murderer has a bible does that mean he's innocent? If someone has a 360 and a PS3, does that mean they MUST NOT BE a fanboy? No, no, no. ARGHH. /rantAdziboy

That is your personal (and twisted) opinion. I use both systems are for different things. No I do not have a favorite.

It's basically reporting news, that developers are being idiots whining and crying about the price of the PS3.

It would be annoying to be the boss and have to keep hearing people complain about price, that is all people ever complain about with the PS3, and he's just getting tired of hearing about it. Most of the people in charge can't do anything about the price, only the people in charge of the hardware and whatnot in Japan can really do something about it. It's mostly by developers who's games are good enough to sell because they are actually good such as koei and THQ, so they want the PS3 to be cheaper so they can get casual idiots who don't know better to buy their games. The reason why that activision guy said that other crap is because he predicts modern warfare 2 to sell a whole lot and he wants to go even further than what is predicted, so he wants the ps3 to be as cheap as possible, to sell as many copies.

Basically it's 3rd parties whining because of the way consumers are with their shallow taste in games or whatever. It's never the developers fault for pricing their games too high, oh no, it's always the hardware maker's fault. I don't think it's the issue if more people have it, they will sell more games. That is always true to an extent. Sometimes some games need a price cut. Look at Valkyria Chronicles, they cut the price and the sales went somewhat crazy for a tiny bit.

Kotaku is only good for one thing; BETA codes.

It might have to do with the fact that Sony blacklisted Kotaku after they did something they were requested not to do. I'll see if I can find the story again.

Kotaku is garbage anyway. Anyone who links to their site should add a "WARNING" label.

Anyway, I did a quick search on the blacklisting, and it was regarding PlayStation Home. Basically, Kotaku reported rumors about it when Sony told them not to say anything about PS Home. Apparently the blacklisting isn't in effect anymore. There are other incidents that put Kotaku's credibility into question as well.

Iv noticed a little bias on Kotakus part. but the main problem for me as a ps3 fan is the rather high % of 360 fanboy trolls that use that site that just constantly puke out ignorant BS in each feature that has any thing to do with sony. Its pretty bad over there. its like a 360 troll breeding ground lol.

well for games on demand i for one wouldnt want a 20-30gb game on my HDD MS can have its crappy games on their expensive HDD...only24 games per120gb HDD
