Nope, PSN has been generally fine for me, so its your net.

PSN has also been down at like 1am or 2am for me so it hasn't really affected me, I'm asleep during it.

If it's a game you're having trouble with, then it might be that game's servers or your connection. Sometimes it's hard to know what to blame whether it be your internet, the game's servers, or PSN itself. Yeah, PSN has had its fair share of issues in the past, including outages. Luckily I don't pay for PS+ just to play online. But I can understand the frustration of it being required to play online and then having issues with playing online, whatever the problem may be.

No issues for me. It's your internet brah. Also didn't xbox have week long issues just recently? Not trolling, just stating all the networks go through their issues.

@westcoastg: I have a fantastic connection and hardly any problems ever, but I have and pay for high quality fast, fast internet.

All networks lag sometimes though.

Shit happens.

Yesterday there was bird shit on my car and I just got it washed.

For me depends on the game and even there are times when there´s little to no lag and days/moments that it´s downright unplayable.

I don't know. I have pretty good internet compared to the average person playing on the PS4, and my multiplayer games still lag. Star Wars Battlefront usually runs fine, but when it doesn't, which still happens too often, I'm playing at 5 FPS. Literally. Sometimes 0 FPS. Unplayable. Battlefield 4 usually runs at something like 15-20 FPS. What's wrong? Is it PSN? I don't think so. I don't think it's my internet connection. So what? The internet or connection card in the PS4 hardware?

And whats your definition of "average internet" for a PS4 user?

one's internet connection or the connection to the game servers is dependent on many parameters, not just the "contracted speed" of one's service package... it depends on load of the local network, then domestic, then the country's bandwidth to other countries, and the load of it, along with how many other networks you must "cross" to reach the game servers or any other server, then the load of these factor in, etc etc... if your country uses a screening method on the traffic, that is another factor, if there is a ddos or any kind of malicious attack going on at the moment that is another issue... long story short sometimes there is nothing one can do even if one has 1 gbps connection... :)

From what I have seen, between friends and other people, I've noticed that most have an internet connection of 10-15 Mbps. Could be wrong, but from my extended experience, that's what I've noticed.

Its not your internet at all, its your PS4 causing the problems, I would get it replaced with a new one.

I don't think so, because it still works fine a good amount of the time. That said, it still has some issues.

To prove my point, I limited my internet to 56k, and battlefront has no issues. Its not about bandwidth in gaming, its about ping times, games use very little data, its all about speed.
