Like when Im playing Assassins Creed there's that info at the beginning "this game was designed by people of various religions and beliefs"

Were they afraid they would get sued for stereotyping persians or something? Or was it the whole memory carrying on through genetics or something?

We live in an age of political correctness where anyone can sue anyone because their feelings got hurt. So companies have to go this route so no one feels sad

They put it in becuase they didn't want people to think the game was sending a message against a certain religion. You go around killing people who have certain religious beliefs and ethnic backgrounds. They are trying to avoid a lawsuit. Look at what happened to Resistance and the church of Manchester.

It's the same reason you get scholarships for being Black or Native American.

Exactly my point, people are way to oversensitive they find something that offends them and then sue. Even if it is indirectly they will still sue.

Bit of both, plus also the strong anti religious message and the constant killing of muslims, christians and jews in game

Hmmm maybe I'm just more cold hearted to stuff than a lot of people, but when I was playing through the game I never got the "Strong anti-religious" vibe

Of course that is good from a business perspective given the status of society now days. But isn't that the problem with some people nowdays, they don't like something so instead of just ignoring it and moving on with their lives they instead make huge scenes and sue for tons of money.

yeah, its a huge problem that our society is facing today. Our country is so overprotected that people get offended over the littlest thing. I was talking about this with my roomate last night oddly enough. Pretty soon, we wont even be able to call christmas. We will just have to call it holiday day or something because people will say that the word christmas offends them and their beliefs or some crap like that. lol

Yeah its just like that BS where people want the word GOD out of the National Anthem because they are atheist. If they really don't like it then just don't say that word. Like if I have to say it I say "and liberty and justice for SOME" because we all know this place does not give rights to everybody.
