I just bought a PS3, but I can't get it online!! The same thing happened with my PSP. It says the access point can't be found. Check wireless settings for the network. My house has 4 total computers (3 of them are wireless), and I used to have Xbox Live. Xbox Live was a breeze to set up besides those accounts you had to make. Why won't this work!??!?! The WEP is correct, but it still won't connect!!! Help

No clue...I have wireless and I just scan for it and enter the WEP key and it works. If your acess point can't be found, maybe the ps3 is too far away from the wireless signal or maybe the wireless isn't enabled in the settings...I don't know.

It finds the network, and gets 85% or more strength. I shouldn't have to enter in the MAC adress because I think my network is set to allow if you type in the right WEP.

if you are on DSL, i can almost garauntee you will need to do the FULL configuration of your PS3 for online. contact your ISP, get your DNS server information, and PPoE information. they may be able to walk you through it. it is a huge hastle. i had to do it for my PS3 to get it to work.

so annoying when the 360 just plugs in and works.

No not far at all. I have a computer that is wireless a couple feet away from the PS3, and it is as quick as lightning.

By the way I have a high speed internet (Comcast provides)

Have you done the network test? Does that report any problems? Is your NAT 2 or 3?
