Why is it??

Lately I've come to notice a few things since joining gamespot. I have noticed that any time some one asks a reasonable question there always has to be at least one do*che bag to reply with an answer that is most un-needed. Excuse those of us who have lives and dont have the time to learn the ins and outs of every game and system in the world. Some people in this world do have real jobs and families. I'm sorry that getting my master's in biology has preceeding my gaming. Rant over!mkstan15

Why do you assume they don't have a life? If they didn't have a life how would they have the time to troll and fish out an answer for you? I mean this is your 2nd time talking about your mastere's in biology... Just because you feel someone doesn't have a life, and apparently didn't go to college to get a masters in biology that they are lifeless nerds...Dude you don't need to create a post right after someone has responded to yours. Why are you so angry? I mean, I am in college getting my Bachelors in Science, which I will get in a year but does that make me less experienced than you? Common dude get off your high horse...

If the bashing people have a life or not I dont know, but he is right. No one has the right to bash someone just because they are asking for something occassional people in the forums take as "old news"

So bashing them back is right? Just because 1 person out of 5 says something stupid doesn't mean you have to go on a tirade and put an entire community into one category and call them lifeless nerds. Seriously some people are just nobs who fail, understandable, but if your going to lower yourself to their level, how much better are you then now?

I am not on a high horse. I was simply mentioning the fact that my time has been spent doing other things besides gaming. If i had said can one of you underlings help me with a question or said that I was a millionaire than the bashing would have been necessary. All i did was ask a question. Never once have i said or thought that i was better than anyone. If you took it that way oh well, i guess that's one of the problems of conversing online rather than in person.mkstan15

I'm just saying your overacting over what one person typed, and then took it a few steps up. Yes it is harder to conversate online but why go to the extent and add fuel to a flame war? Aren't people naturally mean in some cases? Can it be helped? There is no point in going around and making all these comments and labeling those in an online community when you have no idea who they are, and if your asking for help, should just accept the help and don't worry about some person being mean. I mean it seemed like you were labeling the whole community and coming out with all these comments like seriously, it's just one person. I mean, it's loading times, yea it's not a waste of 560 bucks unless you never really wanted the console in the first place. I know alot about consoles/games not only because I like it because it will be my profession. So if you claim that someone knowing alot about consoles is a lifeless nerd, thats a little harsh being that those same lifeless nerds eventually turn into the devs that create the games for this 11 billion dollar anually growing cash cow which you spend 560 bucks on.

So dude don't take it so hard. I have been a member of online communities for a long time(not because i'm a "lifeless nerd" because it will be my cash cow) because I always learn about something I am interested in. If it's not your thing, it isn't but don't lable those who are here doing their thing.

I often find myself writing flamable stuff to reply to comment or "stupid" remark. But I've always chose to close the window instead of hiting submit :P

It gets most of my frustration away and I'm not adding fuel to the fire. It's ... unnecessary

Sadly this kind of behavior is not only found in internet forum ... In real life too ... :(
