why is upscaling that big of a deal to everybody? i see ppl on these forums saying they might get a ps3 now cuz they have upscaling...

Because it makes your current DVD movies and old PS1/PS2 games look better. 

Well do the PS1/2 games run in 480i or something? On a HDTV they look really really bad on a HDTV all pixelized and jags all over the damn place.. So I would of thought upscaling to 1080i to fit the screen and not make it all stretched and pixelized would make the games look better... Am I corrrect in what I'm saying?CHRIS_K_UK

no ur right, i played socom on a hd tv and it looked streched, but it will look betta after the update

the jaggies and blur aren't that bad, and remember guys to use your tv's screen mode buttons to eliminate the stretching mainly.
