well this is some messed $h1t u know, i have a 60GB ps3 since launch, works fine, and nothin wrong with it. every other game works fine, but wat the hell is up with GTA4????!!!!! i mean almost everytime when ever i start a game after a few minutes it will freeze and it forces me to shut down the ps3 manually(not the back switch) is it me or are others experincing this too? and if so wat can i do to fix it? and is there gonna be a patch or something?
dont know what to tell you, got my copy today been running pretty flawless since i started only minor hiccups in cut scenes and a bit of slow down in cop car chase through the park. they posted a 12 step process on the gamespot home page that might help you

yea tried that, nothing. and i dont think its my ps3, i have 10 other games that i been playin on them, even still, and i dont go through the problems im facing with GTA4, i love this game, and i been waitin so long to play it, and now all i get is damn freezes!!!!!
It's a known problem and I believe Rockstar is working to fix it. It is also occurring on some 360's. My PS3 is a launch 60 and I haven't had it occur.

yea my cuzin has a 360, and hes running with the same problems, man hope R* fixes this soon, most of the time i had to skip almost 4 cutscenes just to get to the next mission cuz it kept freezing on me, music and voice is still running in the back but the picture is still(freezed up)
kinda done all that, one question though and this i cant find, says go to games option and go to display and turn flicker option off? now i hit start i go to display but i dont see no flicker option, am i missin somethin?

My NHL 08 has been freezing forever and hasent been fixed yet. I just hope that when I get GTA this stuff doesn't happen to me or I won't be a happy camper.
