Perhaps it MIGHT be the fact that it is .ca which stands for .canada which means it would be in Canadian prices. Us Canadians always pay more than Americans for stuff.
You guys don't know sqaut so please stop. That's probably the only store that still sells it for $700. I hope you know that the price drop was for NA which includes Canada and they shouldn't be selling it for that much it should be $550. And yes I know the dollar is less than the american dolllar but look at the exchange rates nowadays its not that much less so we should be paying more but not as much as you guys think and definately not $700, that Best Buy is messed up it should be $550.

It is stupid as all retailers are selling it at $550 the set cost Sony announced at E3 was $500US/$550CAN.My Walmart i work atis selling it at $550,bestbuy is just killing any sales they want to have.Also theres not a large difference in the CAN to US dollar only 5 cent,early last week the CAN dollar was 97 cents to US so prices should be pretty close to americans right now.
plus it was only ever 700 at best buy and future shop i think, they raised their price cause they said they were like losing money selling them or something, it was stores choice not sony but everywhere else it always has been 650, now 550 lol that sucks for people who didnt shop around
Well in Sweden it's even MORE expensive :'( in american dollars it would be like 857$ :L and thats just for the 60GB we ain't getting no pricedrop either thats a damn shameee
lol, the Canadian dollar is almost equal to the american dollar now. The ps3 is supposed to be sold for $549 here, it should actually sell for $525 Canadian. But Sony is actually being more fair to us regarding price than microsoft, the xbox 360 premium cost $500 dollars! Although it comes with either Forza 2 or Call Of Duty 3 bundled in, but still I think the ps3 is definately worth the $50 extra dollars. Im glad I got my 360 from shoppers drug mart when shoppers decided not to sell anymore xbox 360s, it was $400 canadian. Then I got a deal where I received $150 in store credit, I redeemed it for a Sony Cybershot camera (which I was going to buy anyway). Who wouldnt want a 360 for $250 canadian? Thats cheaper than the Wii ($280 Canadian). Right now im going to buy a ps3, the deal right now is $100 off and 5 free Blu-Rays, im sold. 1 Canadian dollar = 0.946163 U.S. dollars
