i dunno it sucks devs have gone fps crazy but its the same on the 360 and 75% of ps3 games are ported from the 360 and id say bout 80% of 360 games are fps...so thats all we will see for a while. americans like fps and if fps are selling well then thats all we will see
It's just most rpgs have a lot more depth than the average FPS or action game. remember the legend of zelda ocarina of time. that was one of the greatest games of its time and it was a RPG. now what we look for for gaming genius action and FPS. Uncharted is a good game and so is crysis and COD4. but whyis there no good free roaming worlds until GTA 4. Imagine a MMORPG for the ps3. that could work. i would buy that. thh time of RPGs is pretty much over and is taken over by FPS games.
RPGS take longer to make, think how much time an FF game takes to make vs a misc action/fps title.teebeenz

Assassin's Creed was a good free roaming world. And Sony has a 3 exclusive title deal with NCSoft (a big name in MMORPGs) so rest assured, the genre will pop out of the underground in due time.

I know final fantasy is coming and there is oblivion but still why isn't there hardly any rpg's on the ps3!?MrMessAround
what rpg does the other console have? I got eternal sonata on the xbox but I heard it will release on the ps3 2008 with extra content. I'll Wait for FF13 to come out I much rather wait to get a great game instead of an overhyped game with ugly graphics like halo 3.
