Why no eye of judgement discussion?

I have noticed nobody has really been talking about eye of judgement.

The game is coming out in 2 weeks and is going to be the Sleeper hit of the season. The technology being used in this game is unbelievable. I mean come on,realtime image recognition along with full interactivity.

Not to mention the fact that this card game is made by Wizards of the Coast. The same company that made Magic the Gathering. All the people who like games like this but have never really wanted to collect the cards and play the game because of either having nowhere to play or maybe feeling nerdy playing it now have a way to play.

Not only that but imagine when you get an ultra rare card that you are really proud to have, when you use the card you actually get to see your creature/character in realtime 3d. This is every kids dream. It puts a new level of tangibility on card collecting.

And this game is only the start. Imagine games like monster rancher/pokemon style games where you interact with your creature in order to make it better/stronger/level up. Where you can actually interact with your monster or pet in realtime. Its amazing to think about.

The possibilities are endless and the whole thing is coming out in 2 weeks. I never fathomed we would have this kind of technology already coming out. I thought something like this would be years away. What do you guys think about this game/the ps3 eye.

WOW that was just stupid. There is no dif from a video gamer and a guy whoplays card battle games. Its the same thing only dif is games need a tv and crad games dont. So if you say people who play card games ahve no life then that means you dont havea life buddy because card game and video games are the freaking same.

Also everything gets milked in the world. Look at all theGTA games and mario games and zelda games I could go on. Not saying those games are bad just saying think before you type.

I agree, i saw that tutorial thing, it looked pretty nice! I'll consider it, its certainly unique.

I think this thread is getting off topic but yes, card collecting games are similar to video games. Some people like to collect things because it can be a fun hobby. To make a judgement aboutthe character ofa person by what they like to do is insane.

I made the topic to discuss the possibilities of the ps3 eye. Not to categorize people by how they like to play video games and if they are "cool" or not.

I think it looks cool. I collected Magic cards, but never really played much.

And I like the webcam-functionality of the Playstation Eye - so I'm hoping I can convince some of best friends to buy it.

This game has got me more pumped about the PS3 than anything else since since I bought it. I will definitely buy it, but I don't want to spend a lot of money buying cards. I used to like magic the gathering but i had few friends who wanted to play and they got bored of it before i did.

If there is a price drop I could see people buying the system just for this game, but probably not at it's current price.

This is the standard ps3 eye toy. There will be a lot of games for this thing. And to even say that its a gimmick and that only a few games will come out is a huge understatement. This is a whole new level of technology.

But wait now you can look at repetetive animations again and again!

Besides this toy will just end up like those guncon controllers where only three games in the consoles lifespan will support it. (assuming it requires a special camera and not the standard eyetoy)hot114

You could skip the animations to have a quick game. Also its nice to have this game because some people cant find no one else to play with. So since this is online that will solve the problem.

Two words.

Card Game. Console.

I've been a big card game player in the past, but, whenever it came to card games on consoles(MINUS the pokemon one on the GB, lol), I've hated em. I've been through the phases of using my money on Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, and Magic. I still have my killer decks from Magic and Yu-gi-oh.. but pretty much none of the other games...

Probably because the game you are talking about is called "The Eye of Judgment."

no, the playstation eye is very advance compared to the PS3 Eyetoy.

As to the confusion about the camera. The eyetoy was the camera attachment for the ps2. The camera for this game is being called 'the Playstation Eye' (that may be changed llater, it's kind of cheesy sounding). The Playstation Eye is going to be the ps3's eyetoy. The Playstation Eye comes packaged with Eye of Judgement. Any games that come out for the ps3 later that use a camera will use the same one. It will likely be sold alone at a future point, but really, Eye of Judgement bundle is probably going to be the best deal on getting the camera.

not to mention that it has noise cancelling multi-directional mic, thats gonna be a great replacement for my crappy H300.

I have a substantial collection of Magic cards, which is the reason why, believe it or not, I will not be purchasing this game. If I'm going to buy cards, they will be Magic, I don't have enough time or money to support a whole new hobby. Video games and Magic cards is expensive enough, and it is too late for me to quit either of those. So I will shut my mind from this idea, even though I have to admit that it looks like a lot of fun.

One more thing I have to add is, without a tutor on hand, I would never have been able to figure out Magic the Gathering, which leads me to believe that a lot of people are going to buy this and be thoroughly confused. Any thought on that?

Everyone wants fun and simple to learngames with originality.Eye of judgement has all this and more.

I think the game looks really fun from viewing the videos on gametrailers.com and I want the playstation eye anyways as I want to play new inovative interfaces, and simple fun games when I don't have the time for larger games.

I'm a busy man. :-)
