[QUOTE="The_Pig_Hostage"][QUOTE="ArmoJan"][QUOTE="The_Pig_Hostage"]Bleh, just leave the darn things on PC. Who needs em...
I'd hate to see them start invading my favorite franchises. I remember hearing rumors that GTA IV would be MMO, and it scared the hell out of me.

just because you personally don't like them, does not mean they should not exists. And another thing, if they ever do "invade" your console... It's simple, just don't buy them. 2+2=?
I didn't say "invade my console", I said "invade my favorite franchises". Yeah, I'd not buy them, but it would suck to not be able to enjoy my once-favorite games. All I'm saying is that I hope the MMO craze doesn't overtake traditional gameplay on consoles, and when I hear people suggesting that this-or-that (like GTA) might go MMO, it frightens me. I know that's not what you're saying, but that's just my rant, sorry...
fact is, a MMO or two would not effect your gaming life. There would still be traditional games out. I highly doubt the gaming industry would take a dramatic change if oned MMO was released. Thats the beauty about having an expanded title library. As for GTA going MMO, don't worry. There would have already been official word on it, especially this late in it's development.
on the other hand... Doesn't it get tiring playing with yourself (no pun intended) lol.
Probably true. But with the increasing drive towards online gaming, sometimes I worry that MMOs will eventually begin to overshadow traditional gaming. Not next year, or five years from now, but gradually. It might be hard to imagine at the moment, but this is what new technologies tend to do - just look at what 3D did to 2D gaming (and frankly, I'm still smarting from that loss). But I'll stop ranting now, since this isn't really relevant to your thread topic. :P
As for playing "with myself" - there ARE such things as traditional multiplayer games, you know. Mario Party, not World of Warcraft, is my idea of multiplayer fun.
