This is a post from a thread on psn that a guy called futsio contributed, its good to see someone really doing, he has been emailing SCEE and here are some of the fruits of his labour.
"I got a Reply!
Actually I got 2 replies!
Both were exactly the same generic replies from 2 different operators but hey- it's a start.
my email was as follows:-
Dear Sony.
Why has the psp store in Japan have well over 100 titles for the psone back catalogue, whareas the UK site has a grossly lesser amount of titles?
I have emailed sony about this several times, each one has had no reply.
Just in case the other email didn't reach you I shall again voice my opinion, which is shared throughout the UK.
Please improve the store content!
As far as I can see, the only thing letting the PS3/PSP down against the Xbox market is the online content.
Japan has (for example) Devil Dice, Metal Gear Solid, all the crash titles, All the Resident evil and Dino Crisis, Tekken 2 the list goes on.....(and thats the PSone titles alone)
Most of the customers in europe are under the impression that SCEE can't be bothered- and we don't know why.
The fact that the only contact email for sony is the sony help desk, plus the fact that none of my emails have been answered just goes further to proves my point.
This argument has been going on since day one on the forums, yet no answer as to why the ps store content is so poor, has been forthcoming from Sony.
We all feel that you're happy to take our money and then give us nothing back in return.
I know that publishing rights and other such legal red-tape may prevent some of the games getting onto the store, but it can't be that many. The Psone has a most impressive back catalogue of titles, and it's a shame to see that the next gen are missing out on some top ****gaming. Add to that, the fact that the publishers are liable to make more profits from games thay made over 10 years ago (with no more work as far as I can tell), and The Psp games-base more or less doubling overnight (got to be a plus against the DS) and we're all left scratching our heads in bemusement.
The longer that sony ignores this situation, the more customers will be tempted to the dark side of custom firmware. I personally, would rather pay £3-£5 than risk bricking my psp, but many others wouldn't.
So please answer the follwing:
Why dont Sony allow more customer input?
Why is the Content so poor?
Why is Sony, seemingly, ignoring the complaints?
Please, please, please send an answer this time, and I promise I'l buy a PS3 to go with my PSP! (any chance of a deal?)
Yours Hopefully
xxxxxxxxxxxx, and all the other PSP owners.
the answer was as follows:-
Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding the PlayStation Store.
I understand from your correspondence that you feel aggrieved with some differences between the UK PlayStation Store and that of other territories.
When managing the PlayStation Store, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) aims to provide consistent content experiences, globally. In some cases we, in Europe, are first to publish content. However, we do publish some content later than the Japanese, American and Korean Stores. The reasons for this are varied as I am sure you can imagine with each piece of content having to go through procedures ranging from Quality Assurance to legal approvals. In addition, Europe is subject to a far greater degree of language and content localisation than in other territories which must be taken into account. We aim to provide our consumers with access to all PS Store content that is appropriate to them, wherever they are in the world as soon as is possible.
I trust that this information is useful. Should you have any further hardware related queries please contact the PlayStation Careline on 08705 99 88 77, quoting reference xxxxxxx, where a member of our team will be happy to assist you.
Best regards,
2 of those to be exact.
I've replied thus:-

Dear Gary.
I've sent 2 emails to SCEE regarding the situation about the lacklustre content of psone titles on the UK store, both were answered with a generic identical reply, which doesn't answer any of my questions.
Why aren't more of the Psone titles that were released already in the UK on the playstation console released on the store for the PSP/PS3?
You do realise I was talking about the Psone titles?
The Psone tiles must be already set up for use in this country, as they've already been Quality Tested, age rated, published, translated, legally aproved and any other hoops that have to be jumped through to get a game released in the Uk and other european countries, haven't they?
Your reply doesn't explain to me why titles that are already available in the UK market (although, probably not new) can't be transferred over to the Ps Store for the customers, giving us more of an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
Why are games like Tekken 1,2 and 3, Devil Dice, Wipeout 2097 and Wip3out, Gran Turismo 1&2, Soul Blade, Abes oddysey &exodus, Final Fantasy etc in the Uk even though they've had all the above already done to them?
Does SCEE still own the rights to these games?
Surely there's nothing but profit to be made from these old titles going onto the store?
Couldn't customers request titles to be put onto the store on a monthly basis?
I look forward to an original answer.
Yours Hopefully."- from a post by futsio
