They didn't want to have a release date patch. They said they wanted to have a solid, polished game on the disk, and the delay would allow them to do that.

PS Move support isn't even going to be on the disk from the start. They are going to patch it in. They are just going to demo it in the game at first.

I have a PS Move also, so I'm waiting with you.

Because unlike some developers, (Fifa 11) LittleBigPlanet 2 developers wanted to release the game without any bugs or glitches. So there would be no need for patches soon after the game's release. So right now there probably testing the game online & offline so we will have a smooth gaming experience. That's how developers should do things nowadays rather than ripping off customers by selling us an unfinished product.

Sounds like something Bethesda should work on. Hmmm....

Anyways, I'm glad they pushed it back it will just make it even better :D

Apparantly its actually none of those reasons, what i've heard is they are building new keys for the games to eliminate the current outbreak of Jailbroken PS3's out there and the threat they have with pirating games. With some of the games already, we've seen pushed back (GT5) or uploaded with 3.42 firmware update (Medal of Honor). However since these are games that are exclusive to Sony, more control and precautions can be taken out to get it out and working, since they are not pressured by 3rd party devs to get it out the same time as the other consoles. I've already heard of Shaun White Skateboarding having to recalled before release on the ps3 simply due to the wrong firmware being uploaded to the disc. With an amazing 12 months ahead with massive releases, Sony are taking every necessary step to make sure the consumer is not harmed or damaged, and that their property is safe again along with other developers. An added advantage of this of course is to run more tests with a later release date, but this day in age, they cant really afford to delay their game longer than they should.
