Why was the 20 gb ps3 so inferior again?

No Memory Card slots ...

I've noticed the 20gb is going for about 250 to 300 dollars on ebay and am thinking about getting one, so tell me why does it suck so much worse than the 60? (I have ZERO intrest in a ps3 without the emotion chip) also does the lack of flash, sd , etc mean I cant import ps1 and 2 saves? could I anyway? thanks for the helpsinghellotaku

Whats bad about a PS3 without the emotion chip, it can still emulate PS1 and PS2 games almost the same (slightly more cases of game malfuctions).

In my opinion, the lack of wireless connection built in makes the 20GB vastly inferior. I need that for my house! The size of the HDD is mostly irrelevant because everyone can just upgrade to larger HDD if they want any time. Memory card readers are nice but not essential.

Actually the 20gb PS3 does have the chrome letters, it just doesnt have the chrome finish which i think the 20gb PS3 looks better without it.

20gb Differences - Small HDD, Cheaper, No memory slots (Which you can use a USB flash drive), no wifi which wifi sucks when it comes to gaming anyway (Wired is better) & pretty much thats it. When it comes to games and graphics and all that god stuff, it's pretty much the same.

its has the chrome letters, if you're using your PS3 for gaming, its perfectly fine, movies are the EXACT same, if you want a bigger HDD you can go to Newegg.com and buy a labtop 2.5'' SATA drive, a 120GB drive will be 75 dollars, for for a total of 400, youll have a 120GB PS3, but no wifi, but if you're planning to play wireless, you can buy the Linksys G-Router, which is about 40$ on ebay, so for 440 you get a 120GB, wireless ready, PS3....its better to play wired anyway, but yeah that should answer your questions, if you want a link to some good drives, just message me and i'll send them to you
