why wont my ps3 log in?

ever since that last update my ps3has been having trouble logging in and it boots off all the time. Its making me so mad that i just want to sell it, so please help me out, the connection strength is at 55% and it wont retrieve the ip address, it sais it cant connect to dns server or something like that. This is making me so mad i shouldnt have bought a ps3 becasue now i cant even play online . An update should improve a system not bring it down, this update sucked and now it broke my ps3 i hate this update, sony shouldnt make you update if it means breaking your ps3. So plaease help me out!

try disabling the media server functionality ...
It is an error where your router and your PS3 are trying to use the same channel / UPnP functionality at the same time ...

It's not the the Playstation it is either your router or server giving you problems. The update doesn't really effect the connection any way. The 55% signal your getting could be a server problem that you will need to call your provider about. Or if you are using a wireless network you may have to do a cold reconfiguration (meaning disconnecting and un plugging the router to force it to reconfigure). I have had my entire network shut down because of a power surge of any kind throwing the thing out of whack.
