Buy the one which suits your gaming needs. I side with DPF's post though... a 3000 to ME is a better investment because I want UMD as well as DL content, not just what Sony feels like making available on PSN. Used games fit way too much into my wallet's needs, so a PSP with a UMD drive is important. You can purchase a 3000 with a memory card upgrade and probably still have money left over for a game or two. Then you can buy anything a Go user can buy, as well as combing the re-sale shops for bargains. A lot of games on PSN are cheaper in used UMD form. Not ALL, but MOST.

If you are not into used games or trading/ selling your played-out games then get a Go. Either way you get a great handheld system.

Same here. I for one prefer the originals, as in not go. I already own a PSP, and it is not worth selling my 2000 and getting a third of what I bought it for. Not to mention I have to re-buy all my UMDs. and I couldn't go bargin shopping like on amazon and ebay, or buy used games like ston3henge said. Nor could I re-sell my games once i'm done if I wanted to. Though if I do like how small it is and poratable. Plus I like owning the UMD and the case and such. But whichever one you want go for it. You can also get a 8gb memory stick for $30 off amazon.com brand new and everything. I went with that.

Just think long and hard about which one you want.

Get a 3000, unless you're ok with being cut off from a part of the PSP's library. Not all games have or will have a downloadable version.
