I'm going to buy a PS3 and was wondering is it wi-fi, or do i need to buy a cord/adapter for it?

it has wifi built in as well as a broadband wire internet connection built in. but u may want to buy a 50 foot broadband connection cord if your modem is too far from the tv

All PS3's have built-in Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is nice, I use it, but if you can go with a wired connection you'll have much better download speeds as well as 99.9% lag free online play. I obviously don't know your set-up, so it's really which ever you prefer. As I said, I use the wireless and I very rarely have any connection problems. You should also know that the PS3's Wi-Fi is "g" rated, so make sure your router is at least a "g" rated router.

The wifi built into the PS3 is fairly good but most problems with wifi connections are mostly in the wifi settings (router settings).
