There's nothing wrong with SD at the moment, the only complaint I have is some of the text is ment for HD only(MOTORSTORM!) I think within a couple of years, HDTV's will hopefully go down in price... thus is the time to buy

Yes it will be fine but there is a big difference I saw RFOM running on an SDTV and wasn't impressed however on HDTV it looks a lot better.

Being 14 is when you legally are allowed to work. Under that, you can babysit and walk people's dogs and stuff. I have a part time job that I do online, for just a few hours, and I get $100 a month for that. I have to pay my cellphone bill, though, so that leaves around $75 for fun. That's what I'm going to be spending on my PS3. I'm also applying for a part time job as a tutor at a local daycare - they have after-school activities and I'm going to be tutoring math. I got an interview next week (a second one - I already had one, and they said I'm likely to get hired). When I get that job *knocks on wood* I will be using that for the PS3 also, as well as socializing (I have a life outside my basement, too :-) )

PS3 on a standard TV will be fine, just as long as you DO NOT see what the PS3 looks like on an HDTV. Like, me, I play with standard resolution and before I played it at my friends house who has a 1080i TV. Now I'm really hurting because all my games look like crap compared to what his looked like. But I am slowly getting over it.

I'm 15 and worked and bought a PS3, HDTV, and I buy all the games for it. It's not hard, just find a small job or something, because I work unoffically for my uncle, and since we don't really have to pay for anything, even earning a little bit of money working builds up fast.

HD tv will go down in price. The price drop is actually happening now. Although, HD tv price still quite expensive even with price reduction right now but after this year, it will be a little more affordable. Within two years, HDtv will be very affordable.

SDTV will be fine for now. I read an article a while back saying that by the end of this year that most 32 inch tv's will be around $800(canadian)

if you get a job, start saving up for college and univ. IMO, since im only 15, make yourself a budget like 30 bucks out of the 100 bucks u make a month and put the 70 bucks in savings. Don't blow it all on an HDTV and PS3 because there are a lot more things to spend on than gaming. When u get a decent paying job after u can afford college/univ then start getting yourself an HDTV. Get thru high school first, then start thinking of buying something like an HDTV. IF you're too impatient, just get a 27" and below HDTV, it will look fine with the PS3.
