I was going to buy a keyboard and mouse for my ps to play UT3 and various other things. However, I was wondering if a wreless usb keyboard will work. I know it has to be usb, but can a wireless one work?

I think you need blu-tooth, or wired USB. I'm not 100% sure.

no they DONT HAVE to be bluetooth

wireless ones work, they just have to have the USB wireless hub connected to one of the USB ports

I have the logitech cordless mediaboard(not pro) and it is wireless but uses the usb dongle(not bluetooth) it works so far on most things i've tried. I am a bit sad there is no home button, no L3, no R3 or start or select. I heard the media board pro doesn't work with linux but i'm not sure about ut3. I think most boards should work with that.

Well when I use a keyboard with my PS3 I use one with a wireless USB adapter. Like you plug the wireless adapter via the USB, then you sync the KB and the mouse to it. Not sure if that's what you're talking about but I never had a problem. The PS3 sees it as a normal USB device.
