Will an Xbox 360 controller work with the PS3 USB port?

I would love to play PS3 with said controller.

yea itll work, if your into modding your controllers and taking both of them apart and stuff. Research it because i dont have a link to it, but someone will probably post a link to the sight telling you how to do so. And yea i agree with you, i hope that if(hopefully when) sony announces the new controller at e3 it has the following:

Rumble!!!!! (it will, im just excited)

Refined sticks like the 360's placement, it feels a bit more natural

Overall shape of the controller could be changed to fit hand a tad more comfortably

Maybe better triggers?? I love triggers and would like to use them in shooters, but with the ps3s triggers dont seem natural for shooters, so i hope they get some nice triggers or something.

Because the PS3 has MGS4

It would be cool is somwone made a third party controller that looked the same as 360 one.

I have both systems and the 360 controller really works well and as I am a big man with big hands it is so much more comfortable.

The PS3 one feels to small and really awkward in comparison, its not terrible but I think Sony did know it needed redoing which is why they came up with that dumb Boomerang controller. They made a bad design that caused such a backlash they simply were too scared to change it.

If you ever get a chance to try both for a long period of time you soon realise the short comings of the PS3 controller.

The Playstation controller's always been my favourite personally, and how many people have honestly missed the rumble? Also sony would never change the stick layout and make it look like a 360 controller, imagine how many fan boys would love that! 'haaha sony want their controller to look like ms's!!!!!!'I do agree with triggers though, but I'm used to the nice small R1 L1 buttons now....Sephiroth445
