...what hype?
In the past three weeks there's only been two threads about it.
Hype Rule #284: If there isn't more than 5 topics about the game on the first page of the PS3 boards prior to release, there is no hype.
I don't know. You would think they would try to keep us interested in it by showing us all kinds of screens and trailers. So I just assuming and you know what they say about assuming, that they think that's all we need to see to get excited about a game. I hope not though, I know I will need to see a demo ar a whole lot more stuff before I buy a game.:)

Exactly it will meet hype only because people will not hype it after the first one was just okay. The Assassin does look pritty kool tho

I like your sig man. Is it just me or does that look like LBP graphics? I recognize the style a bit.
There is no hype, so sure, it will live up to it. The first was repetitive, had no replay value, and one crappy ending. What is there to be hyped about with AC2?
Since it has the word Assassins in it and it will have a really good commercial it will sell truck loads. Mark my words they will over hype this game and most of the gaming public will eat it up.
Going by how disappointed so many were with the first one i doubt many people are going to get their hopes up with the sequel. The first was a good game, but the lack of variety with the main missions and side missions made the game become very tedious and boring. If they were to add a range of side missions that you could come across and complete (the flags in the original was out of place, pointless and more annoying than fun).
I haven't seen much hype for AC2, but its not surprising. Hopefully the game will be awesome and with a lot of us having low expectations, we will be pleasently surprised.
I think it will, especially when the teaser site took the world by storm and had gamers trying their hardest to decipher the hidden symbols. On top of that, the Game Informer exclusive coverage was pretty much posted online as soon as the story hit shelves.
There is not too much to go by now (information-wise), but I am sure that a lot of the people who will hype the title are just waiting for the right time; I would guess E3, when Ubisoft unveils a really slick trailer to rival the first one.
of course it will meet the hype, & rest assured players will meet the same fate it did when they played the first game. expect more of the same on AC2 & knowing Gamespot, hypes a game only to give some cheap scores on ratings. I don't intend to bash AC2 as i look forward to it as well, but you cannot deny the fact the deep inside you, you know there is a big possibilty the game will be as repetitive as the first game despite some new gameplay mechanics being added.
you know what hype is....advertising
all hype turns into is a bunch of whiners who need to come up with a problem with a game, when sometimes there really are none
if they had intelligent complaints they would say so, but they dont.... so they blame the games problems on "over hyping"
