Will EU Modern Warfare 2 work on US PS3

Hey guys I am a U.S. citizen currently living in Sweden. I just went out and purchased Modern Warfare 2 for my U.S. PS3 and have read that ps3 games are region free. However on the back of the box there is a black and white global sign with the number 2 next to it. Does that mean its region locked or will still be able to play it on my ps3.

No PS3 game is region encoded. It will work.

ps3 games are region free but NOT for DLC.

Did you check to see what the "2" means?

I bought Resistance 2 US version off Ebay and that works on my European PS3....so it should work fine.
