I doubt it, usually only well known IPs like Monster Hunter really boost hardware sales. GR looks interessting and might get some new buyers on board, but I don't think it'll be that much of an influence. Also I played the demo and didn't like it that much, nthe fighting with the gravity is just weird, it'ss pretty much "rotate the camera to enemy", "change gravity", "press button to attack", repeat

No, maybe in Japan but this game has very little western appeal.

It already came out in Japan and didn't have much of an impact. The game will be great, but this is obviously a niche kind of title. There's no way it's going to move many Vitas, especially considering there has been almost zero advertising. Sony didn't even give it a mention at E3.

GR is too niche for it to have any impact in sales. However I forsee decent post launch sales as more people get the vita and will want to go back and play this exclusive

i think decent sales will be on the cards, but won't be the break through hit to generate sales, however, with the new AC and CoD coming to Vita this christmas. that will surely spike up sales.

Nothing more than wishful thinking. Nobody is going to buy a 250-300 dollar handheld to play a console spin off. Especially one that is launching at the same time as the main version.

I doubt it. I mean, I'm looking forward to it and as far as I'm concerned it's the first Vita game to make me glad I bought the system. But it doesn't really seem to have mass market appeal.

Not significantly. That's not a mark against the game or anything, though. Doubt Sony would even push it hard enough for it to make a dent. It's not like any single game will be the thing that saves the platform, either - they need a broad range of quality software that just isn't there yet.

Definitely like the look of this game but as much as I want a Vita, I'm gonna wait a little longer for a price drop hopefully.

It will attract the few people that actually have an eye for originality and artistic flair. Sadly, that's a minority.

No, I don't think it's the game that will get people to buy Vitas. I hope I'm wrong.

Gravity Rush is a new IP. So only if this game is really beyond fantastic. Becoming a must play game. I have already pre=ordered Gravity Rush. So as good as this game seems to be. I really like the idea. But the odds of Gravity Rush becoming a system seller is not good. This is more of a future cult classic.
