Will I like MGS4?

I ask because I can't stand cut scenes (I like to play games not watch 'em), and like me some multiplayer.

Are the cut scenes really over 50% of the game, and how is the multiplayer?

I have the game purchased, but have not opened since I can take back if unopened.

MGS is like a movie almost, without the cut scenes its sorta dum. GTA had tons of cut seens, but they were to build the story..... BUt if you don't like cut seens, at least at the begining, you will not like MGS.lamplan

quite a few cutscenes... but they are quite good if you are into the story. if you want an all out action game... go elsewhere.

most annoying thing about MGS4 is that your route is sometimes blocked by really stupid things - logs, 3ft high walls... and snake cant jump so you can't get past!!! on all other levels it is great, although dont have a widescreen TV so have to play with HUGE black borders

since you have obviously never played a previous instalment in the mgs series it is kind of insured that you won't like this game at all.

It's the best game ever, but if you've never been interested in mgs you won't know what the story is about and you won't like it.

really, where have you been? I guess the only games you play, as it sounds, are Madden rehashes, NBA rehashes by EA and some FPS games like CoD4 or Battlefield Bad Company (which is really horrible and even though CoD4 has an okay singleplayer, its multiplayer doesn't stand up to MGO).gollum007

Dang. Getting put through th ringer just because I ask a question, and don't like cut scenes. I am sorry I don't like the same things as you. FYI...many games do tell the story as you play and not through a series of movies.

So the makers of MGS4 did not take into account that some might not have played 1-3 and they do not touch on the back story so I will understand the story in MGS4? If so that is crazy. I know 3 people I play PS3 with that have never played MGS and will or have bought MGS4.

Others, how is the multiplayer?
