I ordered MGS4 yesterday and can't wait for it to arrive. Does anyone know if MGS4 will get trophy support anytime soon. I think it will since it is one of the PS3's best selling games and is an exclusive. Tell me what you think and why.8)
If any executive at Sony had a functioning brain they would've payed Konami to make a patch, so far it seems unlikely, but hey they waited almost a year to release an Uncharted patch, yet again who knows ?
I personally hope they do, I am not trying to get all 40 emblems for nothing.

I did think about waiting but I could be waiting for a long time and missing out on a great game and anyway, there will probably be updates coming out for it and maybe add-ons so it doesn't really matter.
its highly unlikely we will ever get a trophy patch for this game. the devs have already forgotten about mgs4 the game works and they have their money so thats all that matters to them. they have moved onto mgo they are making more dlc that messes up the servers aswell as getting more content for the full release of mgo.
mgo will most likely have trophies and mgs4 substance will have trophies because they will be making achievements for the 360 version and just convert the achievements to trophies. trophies will be their trick to make people buy the game. on top of having some extra stuff like a few chapters as raiden you also get trophies.
mgs4 was released only a few weeks before the trophy patch mgs4 could have launched with trophies they must have had a reason to not include them

yea substance will be ported to the 360. if they can port final fantasy to the 360 then they can port mgs4 to the 360. microsoft will pay anything to get mgs4 its sonys big exclusive. 360 getting mgs4 is like ps3 getting halo 3 the only difference is microsoft have the money to get mgs4 on the 360. kinda bad i guess but the quality of the ps3 version wont be effected and substance wont sell that many ps3s if it remains an exclusive so why bother?
To be honest, I hope we don't get any trophies for this game because it's already addictive and I'm on my 12th playthrough and can't get enough of it for some unknown reasons. I tried to go back to COD4 but I just couldn't bear it. It was my favorite multiplayer game and it's still since I don't play MGO. But seriously, whenever I go back to another game, I suddenly miss MGS4. It's like a disease or something and I hope this fades out quickly cause I fear I won't be playing another game which I would like to but seriously can't. Releasing trophies for MGS4 would make my situation worse.

Of all games that should get a patch for trophies you'd thing it would be MGS4. Just seems a lil silly that this game isn't being pushed ahead for something like taking advantage of trophies. Although I do find the trophy thing a lil bad and-un-thought-out, I'll still anticipate a MGS4 trophy update.

If Sony was smart? Honestly, anybody who was gonna buy the game has and will,, this isnt some $10 PSN game ppl just got for trophy support *cough* SSHD *cough*... trophies wont affect anybodys decision.
So really, itd just be a waste of Sonys money. If Konami does make trophies (which would be easy... just all the emblems and awards into trophies,, like uncharted) then it would be charity on their part

What do you mean they waited a year? They couldnt put out the trophies because the PS3 didnt have trophies untill last month(I dont remember exact date). A month later, there was trophies :lol:

mgs4 will not be on 360 and kojima has said that himself too many times and as for an new mgs 4(substance) they might not make one because last gen online was not as big of a feature then compared to now and people can easily just download the the new add ons so mgs4(substance) might not be made. as for trophies no one knows yet maybe maybe not.
