Honestly, if it was included with the console plenty of ppl would use them i bet. I have one but i dont use it much unless late at night cuz i have a baby and out of respect to others i dont want them to hafta here her scream and cry.
I rarely use mine but I can see it been very helpful in games like Uncharted, especially when playing in co-op but in most other games half the people with mics are just annoying. :P
I have a couple of Blu-Tooth headsets and a USB headset but never use them because of the way so many want to play some of there own music or there talking to someone in the background. I have played a ton of hours on-line and found that after all that time there were maybe a couple of places the headset was even being used the way it should have been.
I can see how makes teamwork better, and maybe If I had a close group of friends that had the same game/system. Just doesnt seem that important when playing with randoms.
I didnt get one with my launch xbox either as far as I recall, unless it;s still in the box and i never noticed, pretty sure I didnt though

Most People that I have encountered In Battlefield, LBP, and Saints row had noMic. Yeah, there old games but there are still alot of players. The only Game I could see that needs a Mic is Socom, and Even if you do have a mic, Not everyone else is goin to have one.

Same here lol. I have a BT headset, but never use it because it makes me feel crazy talking to the TV, especially when a family member walks in the room.
I agree for the most part. In the uncharted 2 beta/demo, I have met some cool people that actually communicate and use strategy which makes the game much more fun. The game makes it pretty easy to mute the annoying people too which I like.
my headset bothers me but i dont have a whole lot to say. ill use it when i play with my friends but most of the time i play shooters and i go off and just do my shoot-em-up thing so i dont have a whole lot to say except the occasional "BEHIND YOU"
