Will Playstation 3 lose its momentum?

Since the announcement of the phasing out of the 60gb playstation and the questions regarding the future pricing of the 80gb, do you guys think Sony's playstation 3 will lose its momentum?

Since the price drop the Playstation 3 has shot to the 1st place rank on video games of amazon.com, and kept it since.

I personally think the playstation 3 80 gb model WILL drop to $499 (without motorstorm) because its going to be (when august rolls around) 599 with motorstorm AND its not even the holidays yet.

also factor in the new games rolling out during Q3 Q4 into this momentum beez kneez

Who knows what the momentum will be but one thing is for sure. If the 60GB version is phased out too soon, it could hurt Sony sales unless they time it with all the AAA titles that many are waiting for before they buy.

99% of casual gamers won't even know about the 60gb phase out. all they know is what they see in thier local wal mart or best buy weekly flyer. and that is $499 PS3!! so this will have noaffect on momentum at all.

yea but will get the momentum back when war hack,rachet and clank, and heavenly sword comes out.
