Will Sony Counter To Xbox360 Elite? and How?

Some Ideas here if sony does decide to counter anytime soon:

1.Bigger HardDrives 120gb - 200gb

2.Different Colours: Like the previously planned white and silver

3.Rumble Implemented in Six-Axis controller

4.Maybe Including an alternate model to Six-Axis ie. Bommarang Six-Axis Dual Shock  or whatever

5.Include HDMI Cable

6.Include Blu-Ray Controller

I think some of these features  are realistic wether or not  sony  acctually  counters with another package i donno, but certain things like rumble i think will be added to the Six-Axis.... Comments?.... Ideas for the list

The most efficient way to counter is to easily lower the price. THat's all they haev to do and the Elite won't have a chance against the PS3. The thing is though, Elite won't set to release for a long time and i bet u a million bucks its gonna get REALLY bad pressjunk56

I'm only going to say this once: THERE IS NO NEED TO COUNTER THIS TERRIBLE ECONOMIC DECISION BY MICROSOFT

Seriously, let's look at this for a second shall we? The market for X360's is saturated. All those who wanted the system have bought one. The system has been out for more than a year now and it was carried through Christmas by Gears of War. Yes, Halo 3 may sell more consoles, but do you not think that the game everyone had in mind when they first bought a 360 was Halo 3? Seriously. X360 will sell still, no doubt about that. But now you get a system that will cost MS more to produce, and quite frankly, I can't see how those who have already bought a 360 can't be irrate about this! Even that one guy that came in here by accident saying he wanted to just trade in his old 360 for the Elite is proof. What does a consumer get as a message from Microsoft when a superior product is already out there (PS3) and they go on and release a product that is still inferior to Sony's beast, and they're not afraid to admit it either with their recent switch to blu-ray, and their new product is actually superior to the one you've stood by now for over a year? Just one year you got out of this thing and what did you really get? A system that could run Gears of War that's what! If I were a 360 owner, I'd be pretty pissed. So they slap their own fans in the face that waited in line for the 360 a year ago, and still don't have a product near the capability of a PS3 and it won't sell without a major title, and Halo 3 may do something for it, but I have a feeling MS is going to take a hit. Sony should just sit back and watch this unfold, this may actually benefit them more than it will hurt them!

i got a question if anyone can answer this if xbox360 elite doesnt have a hd dvd drive than whats the point of a hdmi port? like whats the max resolution they can get on a dvd or will it just make people have to buy a hd dvd more?share_jatt

There is no reason to counter it. Releasing a "new" version of the 360 already is just admitting they didn't release the whole product from the start. I like how they made the HD 120 GB to really trump PS3. Pathetic. The 60 GB is more than we'll need for years, and when we do need a new one, we can just use an external (I have three already totalling over 800 GB). HD-DVD is done too, anyone buying the "Elite" will probably regret it shortly after.

If anything, this should be negative press for XBox, but knowing how the media has been playing the game lately, they will spin it into something positive, something borne out of a desire for truth, justice, and the American way.

60 gigs isn't enough when you take in account the Marketplace downloads for the 360. Arcade games, tv shows. HD tv shows, movies, HD movies, game trailers, movie trailers.

true but i could also get a 160 gb hd for $120

and there close to 10mil 360 owners pissed off theyre getting the shaft from MS
