Will the controller limit ever be changed?

I just recently found out that the controller limit for the PS4 is only four cause I was trying to play with about 6 people on a game that supports 6 on the Xbone (WWE 2K16).

Do you think this will ever be updated in the future? Has there ever been any rumblings about this or am I just shit out of luck?

@jwab96: This is a great question. I think couch multiplayer is gone. With online multiplayer taking over the scene it'd be hard to revert to old school couch multiplayer. Plus, people are so spread out and everyone works so it's not logical to invite your friend that lives half way across the United States. I don't think Sony will change the controller limit since they are making so much money on PSN subscriptions.
