People have had plenty of time to save up there money to get one.

The PS3 will be a huge flop in Europe especially in the UK. We don't want to pay £420 for a lack luster console when I could buy a wii and six games. Also the £700 for a HD ready tv I need to fully enjoy my PS3 and it's glitchy blu ray player so that's £1120 which is obviously easily accessible for teenagers. The wii launch has been such a success in all countries it has sold almost four time that of the PS3 and I reckon it would have still sold at least two and a half times the PS3 without the European launch.skycheese

Europeans waited and good things come to the ppl who wait :D (btw i am from europe)

The ps3 will be launched in the same month alot alot of good games coming out. i'll consider that the official release date of the ps3 because europe is a big market. Many sony lovers here! most probably things will change and sony will show its success in that launch. cant waittt maarrrchhhh

If your definition of success is better than the North America launch, then yes, it's definitely be a success!

However, we all know that PS3 will sell out on launch day regardless, and if you have to buy a HDTV or 5 games with accessories in order to have your PS3 reservation being put on priority, then no, the Euope's pre-orders are a little messed up!

Frankly? Comparisons to the Wii are silly and innacurate.
Its like saying BMW/Lexus vehicles are too expensive and everyone should buy a Toyota Tercel.

Althought I can't provide direct proof of the acuraccy of his claim, at a local shop here in the Netherlands they said that 6 million PS3 were ready to be sold.

I take it with a grain of salt, but it would be great for us Europeans and Sony if they pull it off.

Great lets just hope they all work with all the complaints from my friends in the US about how the controller breaks or the Internet is incredibly slow. skycheese
