it just did not feel like a mgs game where you infiltrate bases/buildings(small?) and you sneak (like mgs1 and mgs2 )
mgs4 was like WAR!! mgs it's not about war like mw2
know what I'm saying?
a disappointment

MGS4 is a fantastic game but I totally agree. There was something about it that didn't feel right. For me MGS1 and MGS3 feel like the most complete metal gear experiecnce. The way they are laid out are incredibly well. The story really drove you forward. When playing MGS4 I didn't really care for the story. Becuase it was just trying to tie up loose ends and wasn't as focused. The bosses in 1 and 3 are unforgettable. The bosses in 2 are ok and the ones in 4 just aren't up to the bar. Don't get me wrong MGS4 is still incredible. I just don't feel its a metal gear game

The bosses in 4 were still amazing the only problem was there was no human connection or sympathy that we felt to them personally as we fought them. In 4 there were just some hot mind-altered women with dark pasts. The bosses in previous games spoke to us, tried to reason with us, and explained to us themselves their motivatations for what they were doing.

Exactly dude. You vocalised my thoughts. I hated how we had to find out the bosses pasts through Drebin in no. 4. It felt very emotionally cold. Not much substance. But I did love the Psychos Mantis nostalgiaPlease Log In to post.
