It would if you want your PS3 to sounds like a 360 lolz. It might over heat since most people IR myself who upgrade have used a 5400RPM drive. I would stick to them.

The specs size is 3.5", I thought the max size was 2.5" for the PS3, may be I'm mistaken.

only 2.5 sata NOTEBOOK hard drives will fit in a PS3. get one of those then comeback to me

LMAOOO yea it is 2.5 sata HDD that will only work. Use the link I gave you I have that one and it works great for me. I have over 200GB free still and I upgraded from a 60GB.

The link you posted is for a 3.5 Sata HDD which does not fit in the PS3 HDD tray.

Also let us know the most you trying to spend.

Buy the:

2.5" SATA 5400 RPM 320 GB Western Digital Scorpio. I bought that one and it works like a charm.
