Will valkyria chronicles make it over the half a million mark.

I was just wondering if if this game has a chance of making it over the .5 million mark in sales with recent developments.

Reasons:

Gamestop 30 dollar sale.

Release of anime in japan(boost interest in Japanese market).

DLC coming out soon(spring).

People getting to point of finishing off holiday games they got and looking for new games and games they missed.

As I recall the sales are > 300K, but < 400K as of now.

It's a niche genre. Not as many people play SRPGs as per se FPS or action/adventure games.

Not to mention games with colors other than gunmetal grey and dog**** brown.:P

Wouldn't hold my breath, shame really.

Maybe if it is put on the PSN along with a bunch of advertising. Although it would probably take way too much space on the Hardrive.

i swear to god, the only reason this game isnt selling that well is because its discontinued at alot of the retail stores. all the gamestops and EBs i called today for the sale said that they discontinued the game, the only time they sell it is if its used....and that doesnt count towards the sales. at best buy and future shop, that game is almost impossible to find....that is if they still carry it.

It's a fantastic game, probably my favorite on the ps3, but Sega did a bad job promoting it in the US. It's really an old school game, not for the common player, and though it's very unique a lot of people prefer more fast paced games nowadays.

That's harsh man. Very rarely do I actually pick up a game on day one because I'm a cheap sorta dude. :D But with some games you can tell that they're gonna be a pain to find after a month or two of being released. So this was a day one game for me.

It would be nice, but I'm not holding my hopes up. I'm just happy I've had my copy since launch. I've done enough in buying it and promoting every chance I get. Like right now... BUY THE GAME PEOPLE!!

fortunately i picked up the game a short time after release.

i blame the gun obsessed kids for the decline in success of great games like this oh and microsoft :) before they entered the gaming scene there was a much greater variety in game types.

I would hope so, VC was great.

People don't really care about RPG's anymore.

You know i was holding out until a price drop until a couple of months ago when i finally caved in. But its worth every penny of the $60 i paid so far and i should be finishing it sometime this month i believe.

I picked this game up yesterday. It's fantastic.

I am hoping it will make it over the mark. I bought mine at full price recently (heh not to worry it'sSOworth it!) so, for it to be as low in price as it is now should prompt EVERYONE to go and get it! I've been playing it quitea bit since picking it up and it's an EXCELLENT game!

Someone, please explain to me the core gameplay elements that make this game worth a buy, because i still dont know. Then maybe i can help then sell over half a million copies.
