Will We See GT5 This Year (poll)

Dito, only other game I'll buy in the near future is Tekken 6.
But I intentionally bought my PS3 solely for GT5.

Anyways, I believe 2009 release is very likely to happen.
My guess is.. before Christmass.

Yes, for sure this year, just take a look at how much has come out in the last 3 months, and there has been a interview a few days ago where Yamauchi states that GT5 will come out soon after GTM is out.

They would have already said when it is coming. It could come out like December 30 in Japan but I don't think so. They do need to come out with it next year though. They have been talking about this game since 06 maybe even before and it's going on 2010. This is why the PS3 has a bad rap because it's most hyped up games have either gone multiplat or haven't come out yet. FF 13 DMC4 went multi and GT5 along with White Knight Chronicles still aren't out yet worldwide. WKC was supposed to come out in Japan like the end of 07 and everywhere else in 08 and then it came out in 08 in Japan and it was supposed to come out everywhere else in 09. Now it is coming 2010. It's just like come on release the megatons already. Heavy Rain is also another one of those games known aboutsince before the PS3 came out and still has yet be released.

Both Nintendo and Microsoft have put out their biggest system sellers. It's cool that Sony wants to really polish the games up and really put some OMG wow factor into their biggest games but if they don't do something by next year, then that will be it. Don't get me wrong, their are great games for the system but Sony has only released one major seller and that was MGS 4 and while that sold well, it didn't have quite as big an impact as it should have. Killzone 2 as well as Resistance also failed to spike sales up. Ratchet can't save the day either. Heavy Rain will probably do well but it won't sell like Sony hopes it will. They need a game that will get NA to finally buy the system and GT 5 or God of War will do that. GT 5 will definitely overtake europe like prologue did. FF 13 will overtake Japan. There is no big game that will overtake NA. NA is the shooter market and most shooters are multiplat or on the 360.

Remember there is still 4 months left within this year, and you are forgetting that GT mobile was only confirmed after everyone thought it was vapour ware on the 2nd of June for a 1st of Oct release date, and rememember a gaming event as big as the E3 is around the corner, the tokyo gameshow, the scene where every other major tittle in the series has seen its date come out.

its too late for it to be released this year. if it was gonna be released then there would have been some announcement. at the earliest its possible it could come out in the second half of 2010.
