I'm interested to see if there's going to be any more connections between the new PSP and the PS3. If you can buy the PSP games through your PS3. So are any of you guys buying the PSP Go, just keeping your old PSP, or don't even own one?

I have a PSP and I'll probably get the Go. The price for a 16gb memory card is $60 or something so why not take that cost out of a new PSP? So I'll really only be spending like $180 for a new PSP and a plus is that since its smaller I'll actually take it outside my room and use it as the MP3 player I never had.
This. And the 16gb card is $99.99 at Wal-mart. The PSP 3000 is like what? $150 or so? Throw in that $100 16gb card and it cost the same as the GO. The GO does a lot more to suit my needs. I like that its actually portable. My current PSP is too big to carry around in my pocket and you have to carry games and stuff, too. I just leave it at the house. I want the PSP GO so I can whip it out just wherever and start playing with it (lol, thats not a sexual enuendo!) Plus, my Zune has recently crapped out on me, so I'm probably going to use it as an MP3 player as well.I have a PSP and I'll probably get the Go. I have a 3000 but I'll get a psp go eventually, after the price goes down. right now I'm only buying digital for that reason.
"This new "go" version that'll be coming out in a few months doesn't do anything new, costs more, and can only play games downloaded through the PSN store, not ones run from disc (the 3000 and earlier PSPs can do both).
The 3000 also has a user replaceable battery if and when he wears out the battery"- from someone on amazon
I agree with this statement because if you wear your battery out on the psp go you have to send it in to get it replaced.....
Also a smaller screen but thats to make it more sleek, so 3000 is the way to go still imo

There's always a good deal on eBay. :P I'm still getting the GO. It just better suits my needs."This new "go" version that'll be coming out in a few months doesn't do anything new, costs more, and can only play games downloaded through the PSN store, not ones run from disc (the 3000 and earlier PSPs can do both).

The screen is only a half inch smaller. Not a big deal for me. And the battery shouldn't be a problem for a long time coming, but if it ever is I'm sure there'd be nothing to cracking it open and replacing it yourself (whith the proper knowledge for such things and a resource for replacement batteries). I've replaced the battery in my Zune and the HDD in my old iPod. Its no sweat. I guess thats neither here nor there though since most the people that will have a PSP GO will know how to do such things. Either way, I can't forsee the battery being a big problem. I had my old PSP for a few years and never replaced the battery. It really just comes down to wether or not it suits your style or not. More portablility for the win. ;)No I already own the original PSP but the only problem is I can't use it as portable now as my battery is no longer working and I can't find a battery anywhere for it as what I have herd Sony no longer make them. The main reason I won't be buying a PSP Go is that it doesn't take UMD might get one though when the price drops more and when Sony get more online games for the PSP.
Exactly it really does come down to personal taste in the end neither one will truly be better than the other.
Absolutely not. Since you can get the downloadable games, AND the UMD's on the original PSP, why would you downgrade to one that can only use the downloadable, and pay more money? No thanks. I'll stick with my ceramic white Vader 2000 model. The GO looks uncomfortable anyways.
The PSP Go doesn't suit my needs at all.
First of all, not having a UMD drive kills it for me right there. I'm not into the digital download idea, save for smaller games (PSN games, PSone Classics). Let's say I did decide to download a game. My current PSP allows me to do that, too. With the Go, I'm forced to. I love having the option of downloading or going to the store to buy my game. The choice is all mine.
Another issue I have with the Go is that it looks very uncomfortable to me. I see pics of people holding it, and how their hands are placed, and it just looks like it would be uncomfortable. Maybe this isn't the case, but that's what I see when I see the pics of people holding it.
The smaller screen is not ideal. Whether or not the size lost is large in measurement, when you cut any bit of screen off of a portable screen, that's not ideal to me.
I don't carry my PSP in my pocket, so the reduced size does nothing for me.
All in all, the Go holds no value to me. I have 2 PSPs already (1 fatty that I imported from Japan long before you could buy the PSP in the States, and a PSP 2000), lots of memory cards, several UMD games, and the option of buying the physical game or download if I want. With all of that, the value cannot be topped by the Go, for me personally.
Even if I didn't already have a PSP, the Go just wouldn't appeal to me.
I don't know as of yet, my current PSP 3000 is serving me quite well.
I will wait for the product to be out for few months, that way I'll have time see the advantages and disadvantages of the new model.
I'm not to keen on quite smaller screen aspect, I'll have to get my hands on the PSP Go to see the difference myself.
