Will you be picking up MvC3 today?

Not today, thats for sure, but maybe down the road. It looks like a good game, and I want to get it, but at the same time I don't. I want to wait till price drops, but at the same time i want to play it now

I've never really been into or played many fighting games.

Nope. Not into fighting games either. I bought Street Fighter 4 and tried to get into it, but hated it. So much for nostalgia!

I'm glad though that this big game is coming out for all you fighting fans.

Heck no! Did you check IGN? There's an article saying that upcoming DLC is coming including new costumes and characters. No offence, but you would have to be a fool to buy this now as you'll eventually be paying upwards to a $100 with all the inevitable future DLC's (a rip-off). Just wait for the ultimate edition, if you can.

Nope. Not big on fighting games. Only fighting game that's really kept my interest was BlazBlue so I'll stick that if I wanna play a fighting game.Texas2089

I'll probably pick it up or rent it sometime down the road. I've already got a lot on my plate at the moment, so I'm not exactly in need of a new game right now. Does look fun, though.

Won't buy it this week i have it in my que with gamefly but ive got nba jam coming through the mail and an old buddy is back in town so we will mash on some jam. I have killzone3 in my que at number one so it might be a few weeks till i play mvc. I got a 3d tv so playing 3d games has more of my attention for the current moment

I rented it from Blockbuster this morning. I love it. I will buy it soon.

As much as I like fighting games, I always found the Versus games incredibly not fun to play.

marvel vs capcom is the only fighting game I would ever buy at retail........so I did just that.........

killzone 3 is just another shooter, marvel is a decade of HYPE

I will be picking up killzone 3 when it drops in price

STREET FIGHTER 1 RYU! I've never played the first Street Fighter, but that pic really makes me want to buy MVC3 now.

As much as I like fighting games, I always found the Versus games incredibly not fun to play.

No, I'm not. I've thought all of the Vs. games really bad compared to the juggernauts that are Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and, to a lesser extent, Darkstalkers.

my friend's and i were going to buy it, but blazblue is still our 2d fighting game of choice

plus mvc3 is lacking a bunch of features that are standard with most fighting games now

while in lobby waiting for your turn you can not spectate match (you just see health bars decrease), can not save replays, no survival mode, no time-attack,etc.

Mortal Kombat not for true gamers how so? The game was not founded on complex combos. Combos were not added in until the third game. The game's combos aren't that complex. They require some memorization, but are not hard to pull off once you know them. What is a fighting game for true gamers then? Just because a game isn't pick up and play doesn't mean it is not a game for true gamers. Your perception of fighters is severely incorrect.

I just got my special edition yesterday......stupid Capcom store :P I really like the game so far though :)

I got rid of Brotherhood and traded it in towards MVC3 and only had to pay 14$ difference. So far I'm really enjoying the game.xGho5tx

I bought it and I'm very pleased with it. I was hesitant at first because fighting games are kind of a gamble for me. Blazblue, Street Fighter, I never really like them. But I think this one is a whole lot of fun, the gameplay is a bit easier for me to pick up and play and actually do decent and win fights. I love it! Definitely my favorite fighting game.

when i heard that they'll be releasing a large roster of DLC for the game i decided to not get milked and skipped this game. if they want to offer me the FULL game and not half of it, then i'd consider picking it up. but capcoms more or less lost me as a loyal customer with their intended content milkage.

Nice! Yeah it's just a lot more novice-friendly I think without being dumbed down for the hardcore players. I love the visual style, too! Wish I could have found a collector's edition, but they're just all gone unless you want one on Amazon for 100 bucks.

if in 6-12 months they haven't release a ton of dlc to prove me right i might consider it but really even with 2 characters available right off the bat and most likely another 2 following shortly all that says to me is "we didn't feel like finishing the game and giving you a full product, but you bet we'll charge you for one! and THEN we'll charge MORE for what we didn't feel like doing" also considering the characters they're offering as dlc all i see is "we'll give you some of the characters you wanted to play with in the disc but the others you REALLY wanted to see in the game, well you have to buy those"

I can't stand companies that milk DLC especially right after a game is released. i'd love to write a letter to capcom but i'm sure that not only would they not read it, i wouldn't be the first.
