Agreed, the controls are sluggish, do you have any Strategy games you'd recommend?

Well I'm more of a C&C guy when it comes to RTS games. I've had small runs with other RTS games, but they've died out with me. But C&C always stuck.
So if anything, I would have to say Generals/Zero Hour. It's a great game with lots of mod support. That's what kept me playing this game for years.
If you can run it, C&C3/Kane's Wrath is a pretty good game
Non C&C games I would have to say, World In Conflict and Civilization 4. Homeworld 2 is pretty good, but it grew old on me.
Ofcoarse, nothing on consoles. But take a look around with the RTS genre. Most have demos and so on.
For PC, check out Dawn of War II and Empire: Total War. Recent releases, both stellar.@ Denji

I would buy it, if I didn't already have it for PC. It's a really fun game. I have a friend who's a long time C&C fan, and he's excited to get it because his computer can't play the current C&C games. Yes, the controls won't be as good as the PC version, but it'll still be a goood game.

I had C&C3 on the 360 and being used to the controller I found it really easy, and effective playing an RTS on console. It was actually really good.
I will probably ger red aleart 3 on the ps3, I waited to see if it was better on the ps3 due to a later release and it is so thats what I will get it for.
Im looking forward to it, I wish they made C&C3 for the ps3 but oh well, red aleart 3 will still be really fu, especially with its more upbeat art sty1e...

its turn based right? Thats why I never got it, I rather something more fast paced and something fun to watch :)i enjoy this game very much I was hesitant about rts games on any console like many of you, But i put that aside and jsut playd em i got BFM2 C$C3 halo wars and red alert, sure its kinda wierd controlling with a controller but soon after when youve emersed yourself in the game you dont even think about it.
I never playd a red alert game until now I it was so halarious and far out, that mixed with awesome visuals I think and well balanced sound makes for a fun experience. So put aside your worries about the controller, Once you adapt Youll be fine. i mean why not, We all adapted to FPS witha controller?, whats the difference.
