Will you get FFVII?

IF they do remake it, i'd get it since i can never seem to finish the old one. And I'd pay $60 because that's how much PS3 games cost.

At any rate.  Would I buy Final Fantasy VII?  After literally over a thousand hours poured into the game?  Despite the fact that I now know the game as if it were a second skin?

Yes.  Absolutely and resoundingly, yes I would purchase a remake of Final Fantasy VII.  Because the only thing that sucked about Final Fantasy VII were the in-game character models.  Outside of that, it was an absolutely perfect RPG.

Oh, well, I guess Barrett and Cait Sith sucked, but meh, at least Palmer's funny. >_>

If a remake does ever see the light of day on the Playstation 3, I was thinking that I could cut up the manual for my copy of Final Fantasy VII and insert it into a BD Case, and put disc 1 in the game case and try to return it.

"Welcome to EB Games, can I help you?"

"Uh, yeah.  I just bought Final Fantasy VII for the Playstation 3, but like, I think it's a mistake.  It's just the Playstation 1 version."

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry, sir!  Here, give me your copy and I'll get you a new one, posthaste!"

well i need to be honest here, RPGs aren't usually my thing.  So there's a chance I'd pass.  However, since I've been on these forums, everyone loving FF so much makes me want to at least give it a shot.The_Rick_14

you should, even if you arent into rpgs, then do it for the story of the ffvii universe. this story is like drops of jesus juice. yes its that good.

I would get FFVII if it was remade for the PS3. I'm hoping that if it EVER is made, then it'll include the following besides updated graphics:

1. Updated musical score

2. Make the game harder (If you fought ALL the  random battles that you could win, then the game would be a breeze, especially with Knights of the Round)

3. Voiceovers (Although I don't know about Mena Suvari...)

4. Maybe a better translation (?) (though it's okay if they leave most of the dialogue as is)

Other than that, leave everything else the same, and I'd be a pretty happy camper.

if team ninja can put out the same game 3 times why not Square, so im getting it8Slick8

I'd love a remake of FFVII, I'd definetly get it, and it would be worth the full price, it's a legendary game.

but I hope that Square is able to steer away from temptations like adding "new stuff" to the main story. A digitally re worked music score, correct translations & a graphical update would be perfect to me :)

I think they will see how we react to FF13 battle system. If it goes well i think they will remake FF7 with a slightly modified version.

On the otherhand theres a chance they will do a rehash version for the PSP.

That might actually draw a lot of criticism from fans who were hoping the game would remain exactly the same except with massively enhanced graphics.
