That'll teach you to buy you a game on a fleeting gimmick. Just enjoy WipeOut singleplayer, it's some of the most intense experiences out there.DaavpukeThat's pretty rude, I think there are people on sometimes, you just need to know when to get on. I was able to enjoy a game with 4 people once during the Christmas holidays, but most of the time, I have trouble finding one. Sometimes my cousin from a different part of Canada calls me up and we play for a while, and sometimes someone else will join us, but usually, it's lonely around the Wipeout Pulse servers. It's pretty sad, really, since it had a pretty decent online system, despite the lack of any chat. I think the best thing is just to wait around, there's always a few people every hour who are just dropping in to see if anyone's online, and in most cases, there isn't. If you host a game and simply wait, then you're bound to pick up at least one guy, maybe two, if you're lucky.
I'd play ya on the game, however...I can't exactly use adhocParty without finding some ingenious way to hook it up to my computer with the lack of network cables on hand.
Fleeting gimmick?
Pft...taking chances is what being a gamer is all about.
I didn't learn to love asexual japanese men with swords to overcompensate for it because I planned several months in advance for it.

Uh, Wipeout Pulse doesn't need Ad-Hoc Party, it's got it's own online, and it happens to be pretty empty. :P But good.I'd play ya on the game, however...I can't exactly use adhocParty without finding some ingenious way to hook it up to my computer with the lack of network cables on hand.MacSexy
Wipeout Pulse was a PSP launch title. So it would be unlikely that it would still have an active on-line server. In on-line terms March 2005 is eons ago, On-line games in general don't stay active that long with a few exceptions. I have this game so just out of curiousity I'll try to go on-line with my PSP.
I'm sure that sony of america has taken the servers down for this game. I could be wrong but I'll try it and see if the on-line part still is available.
It's still available, just empty. I went on a few days ago.Wipeout Pulse was a PSP launch title. So it would be unlikely that it would still have an active on-line server. I thought it was Wipeout Pure that was the launch title...Pure was the reason I got HD, and HD the reason for Pulse...Wipeout Pulse was a PSP launch title. I might have overlooked something again, but I'm pretty sure the custom skin for the ships is definitely not in the launch title of the WipeOut PSP titles.
Maybe those who are interested, we could arrange a time and date and see what happens. Willow191I'd be interested. The only problem is that we'ed need to set a time to start hosting and a time to start playing. The problem with a lot of players is that they'll just start before anyone extra has a chance to join. Wipeout has a slightly archaic online system where you can't join while the players are racing and you have to wait about a minute after every race to start again. It's not efficient for inexperienced players, since they become impatient and quit after every race, so tournaments are hard to make work. Anyway, I'm in. One evening this week is fine, we could make it a regular thing every week. I`m not available Friday nights and some Sunday nights. Anything else is good.
