So far, no PSP game has scored in the 90s on the popular meta ranking site Metacritic. But I have a feeling this racer might actually break this barrier after reading the Gamespy review. It's got all the ingredients--great graphics, solid gameplay, a proven formula and lots of hype.
Low score right now, though, do hope it becomes better than Wipeout Pure. However, I do hope it scores high, 90+ (closest we have right now is 89 from Lumines), because they will make it more likely that Wipeout PS3/Wipeout HD ( 2 seperate Wipeout PS3 games) will be good.
Silent Hill Origins should have gotten a 9. something. The problem here is people keep comparing Portable games to console/ pc games. IMO it should be a whole new raiting system. Just as English is different from japanese portables are different from consoles. Portables can be played anywhere in the world so what may seem boring in the office of gamespot could in fact be fun alsewhere for another person in another setting. The reviews here are so sloppy and meaningless anyway i surely hope you do not base your decision on gamespot's obvious biased raiting system.

Mostly because of those pretentious Euro mags. If there are as many reviews as Pure got, then we should see the score rise dramatically.
i downloaded the demo, and its pretty fun. Racing isnt my thing though, so i am not going to buy it. If i ever did buy a racing game though, this would definetly be it.
