I am looking to get a headset to communicate with people online when I can and for Co-op play. I do not want to spend a lot of money, leading me to a wired headset because they are cheaper than wireless. Are they any good and any recommendations for one? Thanks.

I got a usb one, cheaper and much better quality for your dollar. I had a bluetooth one also, more expensive and not as good. i will say this tho, either make sure the cable is long enough or do what I did and get an extension usb cable.

The ones I looked at are at Best for $20 or $25. I think rocketfish was the $25 one I saw. I was surprised that the wired one were so cheap compared to the blue tooths. I figured that the blue tooths were better and wired was okay. I am hearing a different story as I ask around that wired is much better.

One more question: Does wired or the rocketfish headset block out background noise in the same room (ie relatives talking, dogs barking)?

Before i bought my ps3 bluetooth [Which works amazing] i used my webcam's mic. It works as a audio device too! You might just have something around the house that could work for your ps3..
