I'm interested in purchasing a wireless router for my PS3. Does anybody have any suggestions on a good brand that's compatiable with the PS3??

anything works.  just make sure its compatible right, which im not sure which ones are.  if its b and g or b and n or g and n or what it is, but they are all the same.  Cheap, expensive, it doesn't matter.  The PS3 has a history (so far from on here) of having kind of a poor reception anyways.  For example, my PS3 is about 20 feet away from my wireless router diagonally across from it, and it only receives a 75-80% signal strength.  Which to me, is ridiculous.  I know for a fact other guys on here have commented about the same thing.  But anyways, back to answer your question - Linksys and Netgear are the best value - they are relatively cheap and work great.  Really anything you get will work just fine though.

D-Link Xtreme N will offer you the best performance (speed/range/media streaming).

I have a Linksys WRT54GL.  This gives me a perfect connection on my PS3.  UPnP is found and I get a NAT type 2.  This router also works perfectly with my Xbox 360, Wii and PSP.

I have an older D-Link setup on a DSL internet connection. The trick of any router is to place it as high as possible off the floor(the higher the better) it tends to allow for a better cleaner signal to be sent out. I have 2 laptops,PS3, and PSP running off this thing wirelessly with no problems of any kind. Just something that may need to be stated about setting up wireless hot spots.

If you are going to do media streaming just make sure the router supports UPnP; some support more modern versions of UPnP (The Apple Airports for 1) and this kills media streaming from PCs/Macs.
