This is one of the two worst places to ask (other being the 360 board) Why don't you just do some research yourself and see which console's games look better to you.

If you have an HDTV (preferably a 1080p, but 720p will suffice) with HDMI input, then I suggest you get a PS3 to take advantage of the Blu-Ray player.

If you like the following franchises: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Tekken, Grand Theft Auto, Gran Turismo, Soul Calibur, Madden, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Burnout, Killzone, Kingdom Hearts, Unreal Tournament, Resident Evil, Time Crisis, FIFA, Pro Evolution Soccer, Devil May Cry, and of course...God of War. THEN I suggest you get a PS3.

If you want free online play, then I suggest you get a PS3.

If you have a lot of PS1 and PS2 games, then I suggest you get a PS3.

If you value high quality hardware, then I suggest you get a PS3.

If you want the console with the most amount of upgradability and future flexibility, then I suggest you get a PS3.

If you own a PSP, then I suggest you get a PS3 to make use of the Remote Play features.

If you want the most diverse library of games available to you, then I suggest you get a PS3.

Why should you get an Xbox 360...

- You're a Halo junkie.

- You play mostly first person shooters and sports games.

- You're a Microsoft fanboy.

- You will find more demos on Xbox Live.

- Rumble means THAT much to you.

- Mass Effect and Bioshock...

- You want the best games right now, even if that means you might not get the best games down the road. 2007 lineup is super STACKED, but 2008 lineup looks weak, especially compared to PS3 2008 lineup.

- Real-time strategy games like Command and Conquer.

* Both consoles have their strengths and weaknesses. I just like PlayStation more. I passionately HATE Microsoft hardware. It has failed me one time too many.
