WMP11. I give up!

Man this is frustrating.

When I took the 1.8 update my PS3 saw WMP11 no problem, but it could only see the 3 rubiish songs XP comes loaded with.  So I changed a few things and now my PS3 cannotconnect to WMP at all.  The only changes I've made should increaseconnectivity (opened the recommened ports on my router for sharing, made sure all my music/picture and video folders are set to share).  In WMP I have it set to see all media regardless of rating.

I've reinstalled WMP11, rebooted the PC, the router and my PS3 several times.

Gone into services.msc and enabled the relevant.

XP firewall shows sharing is allowed. 

I'm stumped.  I've gone from being able to see several folders to not even connecting, and all while only optimising the settings.

You guys have a Linksys router?  Me too...  This should be fixed someday.  Some are saying it works well if not better with Nero7 since it converts files automatically so the PS3 can read them...

I really wish I could use the streaming feature right now, but what can you do... 

My Ipod won't even connect to my ps3 but it connects to the 360. Is anyone else having that problem. sirk1264

Might be a while no, just seen it's $60 to download so I'll hang fire on Nero and annoy myself with WMP11 for a bit longer!
