You probably got an idiot who thought you meant Gears 2 - which IS on the 7th. All the stores in my area have had R2 in the back room for a week now.

I just called again to make sure - and in my area there are tons of stores doing midnight launches tonight - so you should call your store back and hopefully get a different rep. If they say the 7th - clarify that you mean Resistence 2 and not Gears 2 - if they still say the 7th ask why the other EB/Gamestop's and GameCrazy's across the nation are selling it starting tonight at midnight.

Just a suggestion - I think you will be able to get it tonight if you wanted to - I know I am.

Sorry to all my EuroGamer friends - man you guys always get the shaft for no reason. It's not like they couldn't ship the stuff last week when they shipped it to the stores in the U.S. - and you could have had it at the same time for launch. It never makes sense to me why M$ delays the releases for Europe - other countries where tarrifs and such may cause a slight delay sure - but the U.K.?!?! There is no reason to delay for the U.K. - The U.S., Canada and the U.K. are practically all the same country. LOL

I saved my birthday money for 6 months just to get all these great games, but i just realize I only have enough for 2...

But I am planning on getting End War first then getting R2, so I don't mind waiting for R2.

Getting the CE before I hit work tomorrow.

Just got the automated call from GameStop saying to pick it up tomorrow morning.

Can't wait for opening time tomorrow.:D
