I am loving PS3 at the moment along with all the games I am currently playing. I have been offered an 360 for £50 so I am thinking should I be picking it up or not? I have a lot of friends on Xbox but also have a few on PS3. What I am planning on doing if I do buy a 360 is selling all my multi plats for PS3 and gettting a few multi plats for 360 along with Alan Wake and Splinter Cell which I really want to play but keeping my 6 awesome exclusives for PS3. I want to keep the PS3 for blu ray, watching movies and to play exclusives. What should I do?

I've had a PS3 for 2 and a half years. Yes i am happy with it, but i am also greedy. Because of the XBOX problems i had stayed away, but since a more reliable model was released i decided to get one in Christmas. Just playing the 2 Mass Effect games, Tales of Vesperia and Alan Wake - i also got the Halos, the Gears of War games and Splinter Cell, but don't care that much about them - has made it worthwhile. Just make sure it is one of those models (Jasper). Search online and you'll see what you need to look for.

Starting right now, PS3 will have the better games. How do I know? I'm an Xbox user that just got a PS3 with games in mind like Final Fantasy XIV and DC Universe Online. They have the better MMO's. Online is free. You can play Blu-ray. Not to mention I have a Blockbuster Game/Movie Pass and tons of exclusives and BD movies waiting for me. Thank you Sony!

If it's not the launch model then yes. 50 is dirt cheap, but is it already used?

Only thing I miss from my old 360 is the superior online compared to PS3.

50 quid is definitely worth it, but check if you get a harddrive with it, as you WILL be needing one to get the most out of it. Don't rush and sell your multi-plat titles just yet unless you aren't playing them. The advantage of getting into a console now is that there is such a huge catalogue of great titles that have been out for a while, so you can pick them up dirt cheap. Check stores like Gamestation and you will find plenty of great games for 5-10. Have a look on the 360 board at the Game Recommendations thread if you want ideas about what are the better games in each genre.

Well saam it's really up to you, if you think the exclusives are worth wild on the 360 then I highly recommend you getting one. However if you are like me and are not a Halo/Gears of War fan, and if there are only 1-3 exclusives that you actually care for then I think you would just be wasting your time. Now again that 360 is dirt cheap so maybe you should buy it, just make sure it is not broken.

The 360 is the console you can most easily "live without" IMO. At least that's what I've been doing as a PS3/Wii owner.

At some point I'll probably pick one up though. If you can get a deal on one you might as well get it. Personally, I'm aiming for the first time the 360 slim comes in a bundle deal with free games. At that time I'll probably pick up Halo 3, Halo Reach, and Alan Wake. There are a few other games as well (Tales of Vesperia is a good one mentioned above), but so many of the 360 exclusives are also on PC that if I had to choose I'd put money into my PC first. I probably wouldn't buy games like Mass Effect 2 and Metro 2033 because I'd rather have them permanently on my steam account than on a 360 disc

Definetly buy it, 360 online is awesome

I have both, my strategy for multiplatform games is to buy 1 player games for ps3 and buy online multiplayer games for 360

Also their are some exclusive Arcade titles on 360

Castle crashers ( amazing), Shadow Complex, Trials HD, Banjo Kazooie 1 & 2 (originally on n64)

I have both consoles, it's worth getting the 360 for exclusives alone. I'd say go for it.

IMO the 360 is an all around pile of crap, but of course for this price why not get one? The reason I do not like them is because of:

reliability

poor hardware support (comes with no wifi, no bluetooth, proprietary harddrives, and no blu-ray).

Bad Exclusives (also known as, "what exclusives?", since the PC plays pretty much all the games with better graphics, controls, and often times more content)

This being said, if you are hell bent on playing Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell, but don't have or want a gaming PC, then for this price I guess I understand. Why someone would buy a 360 while having a great PC though is beyond me.

Absolutely. I've got a PS3, 360, Wii, gaming PC, DS, and a PSP, and I can't imagine missing one of them. All have their own great exclusives and 50 quid is too good a deal to pass by (just makes sure it's actually functional).

Tales of Vesperia, Forza 2/3, Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey, Gears of War 2, Halo Wars, Deadly Premonition, PGR4, Bayonetta (the PS3 version is pretty awful), etc.

The 360 does have a few interesting exclusives. Some are also avalaible for PC, but if you really want to play those select games and play with your friends then go for it.

dude why cant u make up ur own mind, i honestly really hate ppl like that, go with ur gut feeling, if ur a gamer it doesnt matter wat system u have or what to get. if theres games u like on 360 heck go for it bro, u get best of both worlds, lucky for me i have wii, 360 and ps3 and honestly even though my ps3 is my main system i still buy a game or two for the others i own, like alan wake for example. so yea man, just make up ur mind u dont need us here to tell u wat to do. heck half of u ppl dont listen to ur parents but come on here askin us lol. P.S i didnt/dont mean to lash out on u man lol but seriously for 50quid come on, hop on that lol

I'd say worth it if you don't have a pc that can play Mass Effect.
