I take back what I said. At that price, I think I will go for the import after all! That's probably only a few bucks more than it will cost when it releases domestically.
Nope, not me. I personally couldn't care less about rumble and I won't be buying a DS3 until I need a new controller, and even then if the SixAxis goes down in price to make way for the DS3 then I'll probably just buy a SixAxis.
I can't say I really miss having the rumble support and I have 3 Sixaxis controllers (one still in the packaging), so I'm pretty much set for quite a while.
I play my ps2 games more then my ps3 games and the rumble feature isn't a bad thing. That being said I ordered my rumble from play asia and its not here yet. I think i'm going on day 6.

I got my black onewhen it was overpriced unfortunately. Now you can get them for 55 - 60 bones.
I like it. other than the heft, I also noticed it's made of a different plastic than the six-axis. The Six-axis has a very dark transparent plastic if you look at it closely. You can see the red light on the top of the controller shining through the plastic.
The Dual Shock 3 on the other hand, Is made of a heavy black plastic, similar to the Dual Shock 1 controllers. It always seemedthe Dual SHock 2 felt cheaper in hand than the Dual Shock 1. The quality is back again on the Dual Shock 3.
Well I really wana get a white PS3 with daulshock 3 but im jus not sure bout the reliabelity. Has anyone gotten theres from play-asia.com shipped to Canada? If so was it a good buy and how long did it take? thanks
No, I don't miss rumble at all, and I LOVE how light the Sixaxis is. If a game can manage to utilize the feature in a very meaningful way, I might pick one up eventually.
I got mine from www.japanvideogames.com only $65 after shipping. I didn't realize how much I missed rumble until I had it again. Plus the controller has a much better weight to it and doesn't feel as cheap as the sixaxis.
I have considered getting one imported to New Zealand, because we get ripped of here, so i could actually get a DS3 imported for less than purchasing a SIXAXIS from NZ! but im not desperate for one yet so ill wait, but when i do want one ill definatey import it. so i guess that means YES I would by an imported PS3 Rumble Controler (Dualshock 3).
I just ordered mine technically yesterday cause its 2am right now. Ceramic white, im so excited. Plus my sixaxis joysticks have been "sticking" and while i've gotten used to them like that, it would be nice to be able to prone in CoD4 and actually aim and shoot in that position lol. sooo bring on teh DUALSHOCK3 :D
Does anybody here own the DS3. If you do, can you confirm if its identical or not to the DS2 rumble.
There was previous promise of the DS3 having better rumble technology or 'touchsense'. But recent articles on the web say DS3 rumble = last gen DS2 rumble.
Well currently you don't have any other choices except to buy an imported DS3(japan) because it's not out yet in EU/NA. I bought one and it's awesome!!
