i once started a topic on this in regards to simply.."would you pay for playstation network?"...obviously I'm reviewing my views on the topic since home has been unvieled....the argument is simply......would you pay for playstation home if it meant better demos...trailers...more features?I think its safe to assume that our friends on the green side get the demos before we do based on mear fact that they pay 5 dollars a month...give me your thoughts

Well to answer the question, yes I would pay for it...simply because I don't wanna miss out on online. And I'm sure a lot of people would pay for it. But that's the one thing Sony should avoid...charging for online. They've boasted for years right out of the gate how it's an advantage to not charge players for online...so they shouldn't start doing that now.

not until i saw what it was like. i think those online community games would be more accesible if they were kept free. i tried the beta for "there" back when it came out and thought it was a cool idea. as soon as they wanted money though, i was outta 'there' (pun intended) :P

i honestly think sony should charge for online. They should charge about $5-$10 a year so they can use the extra money to better the ps3 and help better the overall online experience and therefore noone can complain about paying for online. id rather pay 5 instead of 50 and get the same features.

Everytime you buy a game you're paying for it.

You probably have to pay for it eventually. We see what happens when it's released. So far, their online service is about average. I want to see how it runs after Sony sells about 15-20 million PS3 in the U.S. That may take about 4-5yrs at the rate they are going.

I would probably pay for it in the beginning to experience it and drop after a week or two.

It's too early to tell. I think there will be plenty of stuff to buy within home anyways. It's a smart business model. Make it free now, pay later. It's just hidden. Will I try it? Hellz yeh! Would I pay? Probably not.

Bring World of Warcraft to Playstation 3, now that I'd pay for...

Didn't they already state that it was going to be a free service?

I thought the whole idea was that you would pay extra to get special clothes, skins, houses, etc?

When it comes down to it though, I have to say that I would not pay for it.

It looks interesting, but if I want to check out new movie trailers or chat with others I can do it on my pc for free (or my PS3 via the web browser of course!).

I'll definitely give it a try when it debuts this Fall though.

I would, but only if I could.

Have my friends list more accessible.

Get a free Sony mic that has no static.

Have an online community that has settings to play with different age groups.

Screw it.

I would pay for it if it had everything live has plus get a free mic and eyetoy.

I'd pay for any PS online service if it meant it would be significantly better. Better lobbies, matchmaking, more features, more games.

Everyone assumes that PS3's online sucks b/c its free.....ive played GRAW for 360 and ive played Rfom for PS3....both online.......they are near identical......having better lobbies is just a problem with the game's developers.......just look at BF2MC for PS2......that game has a flawless lobby.......onine has always been free and it always should be free.....PC is what online started on.....and yes.....you dont have to pay for ANY non-MMO.....same goes for PS3.....if you are forced to pay......then you always feel like you need to play 24/7 to get the most out of your money.......when its free.....its actually fun
