Not a game, a blu ray movie ... I know it's the ps3 forums but I didn't know where else to post ... I never had a blu ray movie before. This is the first one, I have a 32'' Sony Bravia LCD tv and a 5.1 samsung mini home theatre speaker system along with a 60gb ps3 with BC. I heard that a lot of those 60 gb go YLOD specially after playing too many blu ray movies, I hope mine doesn't.

I was thinking of getting Heroes season 2 which costs around 55$ but I heard very bad reviews about it. I liked season 1 up until the stupid finale. I have the dark knight and 300 on dvd and I am not the type that buy the same movie twice just because it's blu ray, so any recommendations?? Also will I notice any difference on my 32" tv? or do I have to have 40"+ to start noticing any difference? Thanks ...

MY PS3 just got YLOD this very hour. I only ever watched one blu-ray movie on it, Casino Royale, which was very good. Plus, you might be able to get it free from Sony, I did.

It was some were on the Playstation website after I registered my PS3. They were also giving away 5 free blu ray movies in America but only Casino Royale in Europe.

I'm going to recommend you few that will make your eyes open wide.

Casino Royale, Kingdom of Heaven and for Pete's sake watch Transformers, Dark Knight (Batman) and Iron man! :)

My number 1 recommendation right now would have to be Sin City. It finally got its grand release on Blu-ray yesterday, and after coming home with it and watching it, I was floored.

Not only is the movie awesome, but the PQ (picture quality) is astounding. Easily one of the best looking Blu-ray movies out there.

All I rent is Blu-Ray unless a movie i want to see is not available. Never had a problem out of my PS3. I didn't know such a delima existed. Anyway, Transformers looks phenominal in Blu-Ray. You should sell your copy of 300 and get it in Blu-Ray instead. Pretty much any action or sci-fi movie you enjoy or want to see you should rent it or buy it in Blu-Ray. It's makes more of a difference than you'd probably believe. Plus, the Blu-ray special features are usually interactive in one way or another and very very extensive. P.S. Heroes season 2 is garbage.

Sin City is a great choice, but I would have to say Wall-E. Yes it's a disney movie, but visually it trumps all. Great sound effects as well.

If you live in Canada head over to a Futurshop and pick up Casino for 19.95 and LA. Confidential for 16.95.

Two epic movies.

i agree. for a movie that was made 1990 it has been made into one fine looking Blu-Ray. Casino also looks good, but not as good as Goodfellas. The blacks and reds really pop, and the skin tones are wonderful. definately a must own for anyone whos' a fan of mafia movies. two thumbs way up:D
