Its better than both of the fallouts combined, better than mass effect 2. I highly recommwnd anyome who likes stealth games and rpg games to get this. Also has nice shooting and customization. Different ways to approach missions. I had to break into a police station in an early mission, without giving away spoilers the way i did it was unexpected.... I didnt even know that would have been an option. Amazing games, the 8.5 it got here is a crime to gaming.

I agree! It's such an incredibly polished game, too. But it's so weird seeing "Square-Enix" on the cover. :D

It's pretty good. There's a few flaws with it but nothing that can't be looked past. I'm really impressed by how big yet dense the city hubs feel.

It was my most anticipated game of the year for me. Just got my Augmented edition yesterday and been playing it ever since. It honestly surpassed my expectations, and I was expecting a lot from this game. I'm over half way through and I'm taking a break just for the sake of my PS3, otherwise I would not stop playing haha.

I think it's time to replace God of War III as my this gen's favorite.

Damn, I was hoping this was just gonna be another average shooter type game, now there's another must have game on my list of games I can't afford.

Christmas coming up and my 2 boys want the world haha and a baby on the way at the beginning of December, hmm I'm sure I can talk my 8 year old into wanting Deus Ex for Christmas, well he does love Fallout. Oh well, I'm glad everyone seems to be enjoying it and I'm sure I'll get it at some point.

This has been my most hyped game for a while now. And now the more I hear, the more confident I am it'll live up to my expectations. Picking it up tomorrow for sure.

The game isn't the best out there when it comes to technical parts. The graphics are below what you might expect, the animation during conversations can be hedious, and the loading can be extensive. However, seeing that most of the game you'd be sneaking around a huge building/field or shooting at people it doesn't stand out at all. IGN posted a video of loading time difference between PS3 and Xbox360, the Xbox360 is slightly faster but that's mainly due to the fact that the PS3 uses Blueray disks which take longer to read.

Graphics, framrate, etc. when compared to Xbox360 are either at the same level or better. When compared to a maxed out PC though they obviously fall short. The controls can be tricky to get used to if you've been playing with L2/R2, as this game uses L1 and R1 for shooting, while L2 for sprinting and R2 for grenades. Crouching and aiming use L3 and R3, sometimes I get them mixed up as well.

Overall however, it's well optimized. The developers focused on making a good version for the PS3 and I believe they did that well. So far I haven't had any issue with bugs or screen tearing or anything that I might find annoying.

i'll wait for the price to go down, i can see this game not selling too well and dropping in price pretty quick tbh, i personally never even read a preview for this game, but it does look interesting when i read the review.

got the augmented edition yesterday, and as everyone else said this game is amazing. I expected it to be good, but not this good. I wouldn't be surprised if it came between deus ex and skyrim for GOTY. Due to being horrible at stealth I already know I'm going to be playing through again to try and use more of it. Plus, it's one of the few games where picking the dialouge options to be a jerk/"bad" guy actually makes your character feel like a bada**. The only real problem I have (and it's rather minor) is not being able to hug the wall while in a vent, but it makes sense since the camera would get really weird if this was an option. Basically, it's an amazing game, and easily one of the top 5 games this gen.

Oh, and the load times are not nearly as bad as some reviews make them out to be.

This game is awesome! Just what I expected from a Deus Ex game. the facial animations could of been much better, but overall, the game is very deep and entertaining. I'm tryin to do everything I can including the sidequests, I want to explore every area I can.

It beats Fallout over the head with a stick the size of Russia, but it's def tied with Mass Effect 2. The problem is that it just lacks the polish to beat out ME2 in the end. If the dialogue scenes were better graphically, there were less framerate problems, and the gameworld was just a tad less confusing, it would beat ME2 by a longshot, but as it is, it's just tied, which is hardly anything to scoff at!

I am very glad they use R1 and L1 for aiming and shooting. I literaly cant stand R2 and L2 when it comes to shooting mechanics. That alone has kept me from playing few titles this generation. I would at least welome an option to change the controls. Either way, i am glad deus ex has them. Will pick it up when it drops in price.

Glad everyone is loving it a much as i do. The only thing i cant figure out is how to tell how far into te game i am? Im already in china... Anyways,i think people are overeacting to the facial animations, its not la noire but its pretty good to me. The world looks crispy, the player movement is solid, shooting is great. Stealth too.

I agree, aside from Mass Effect 2, because I feel ME2 has a slight edge overall. Deus Ex is definitely one of the better games I've played this year, heck, even last year. The facial animations and enemy AI are some drawbacks for me though, but its easy to overlook. Also wish you can change the controls, because they feel weird to me, but I'm getting used to it I suppose. The overall atmosphere, story and gameplay is what really brings it together nicely.
